Lonely Goat Dance Company is the brainchild of Sophie Maguire and Liz Young, two individual choreographers with individual repertories, yet similarly inspired motivations to create dance. In spite of the widely accepted reliance on objectivity, Lonely Goat Dance passionately believes in the worth of the subjective. It believes that one individual perspective can fire up those of another and propel a conversation of experiences. Lonely Goat Dance wants to test self-indulgence, question motivation, and ultimately struggle with and past irony to connect to something and ideally, a community.
